This year’s Stylist Arabia’s Social Media Awards was held at the newly built Westin Hotel in Al Habtor City. I was invited for an Iftar preview at Seasonal Tastes restaurant a few weeks ago and I quite liked the simple interior of the hotel and wondered how each room would look like and as soon as I found out that the event is happening in the property, I immediately booked one of the executive rooms and I wasn’t disappointed.
The room was massive with spacious receiving area and bathroom. I brought a few outfit options for the evening and very pleased that the closet was big enough to contain all my things.
Whilst waiting for my makeup artist, I managed to squeeze in a few minutes of ‘me’ time, the silence you get from a hotel room is unmatchable.
My room view is the newly built Dubai Water Canal accompanied by a beautiful sunset.
The window could use a little bit of cleaning though, it was relaxing nonetheless.
Did my makeup and wore a dress from Sauce, its a black long lace dress with flower crochets designs which is both cute and classy.
During the event, my blog won as Stylist Arabia’s Fashion Social Media star of the year and I couldn’t be more grateful and happy. I only have my friends and followers to thank for it. Spent the whole night catching up with industry friends.
The next day, went to grab a quick lunch and afterwards, went to try the hotels’ signature 80 minute massage, yes it’s tiring to be staying up whole night whilst trying to look composed in 6 inch stilettos.
The expert and lovely masseuse made sure every minute was worth it, I rarely enjoy a good massage to be honest as I usually spend the whole time thinking, this one however made me beg not be woken up just so I could sleep longer. The spa space is also massive and cosy. Any specific hotel in Dubai you are keen to try?
